Abstract

The cadmium activity in Cd-In alloys with compositions ranging between 0.02 and 0.5 at.% cadmium was determined over the temperature range 550–750 K from cadmium vapour pressure measurements made using a combined torsion-weighing effusion apparatus. The activity values of both components were compared with those reported in the literature. The results show the fairly ideal behaviour of the Cd-In system.
