Abstract

The present work aims to utilize AMA/MMA/BA/Aloe Vera (AMBA) nanoemulsion for the preparation of sustainable antimicrobial coating materials. The AMBA was synthesized using a semi-continuous seeded emulsion polymerization methodology. The developed coating material has been synthesized by SEM, DSC, TGA/DTA, XRD, and FT-IR spectroscopy. Some properties such as viscosity, hot box stability gloss retention, solid content, freezethaw stability, scrub resistance, electrolytic stability, weather resistance, solvent resistance, and opacity of the coating material were also investigated. It has been found that the coating developed with a 70:30 monomer ratio shows the best results the with highest antimicrobial activity.
