Abstract

In this work, cabon nanofiber supported cobalt ferrite composites (C/CFO) were prepared by electrospinning combined with hydrothermal method. The morphology, structure and microwave absorption properties were discussed in detail. The results revealed that the C/CFO composites with 3 D network structure exhibited excellent microwave absorption properties, which were linked to the composite compositions and synergistic effect between C NFs and CFO NPs. When the content of CFO NPs was 10 wt %, the C/CFO sample showed RLmax of −137 dB at 11.36 GHz and the EAB (RL < −10 dB) of 11.44 GHz (6.59 GHz–18 GHz), which were superior to single component absorbent. Therefore, the C/CFO composites are highly promising applications in military and civilian fields.
