Abstract
It is suggested that the smallest of the Cabibbo like mixing angles is assured in GUTs by natural vanishing of the weak generation mixings in the low mass sector. Radiative corrections, involving superheavy particles will induce then small mixings, which will be a measure for deviations from the tree level mass relations. A realization in the E 6 GUT gives tg 2θ c ⋍ m d m s − m u m c and tg 2θ 3⋍ m s m b − m c m t , as well as m t(2 m t) = (33±6) GeV.
