Abstract

While the WHO currently recommends breastfeeding among persons living with human immunodeficiency virus (PLWH) where formula feeding is not available, Canadian guidelines recommend exclusive formula feeding. Cabergoline, a dopamine agonist, is commonly used for lactation suppression. Our study reviewed feeding choices among PLWH, and timing of cabergoline administration among those who formula fed.
