Abstract

A two-dimensional formulation of the thermogravitational convection problem in a rectangular closed domain was discussed. For a model of a weakly compressible thermal-transfer medium, an explicit finite-difference scheme of second order was proposed. Experimental calculations of the medium’s fluid in a rectangular closed domain were carried out. The problem was studied in terms of convergence in a set of condensing grids. A comparative analysis between the model and experimental data was conducted on the basis of the calculation results.
