Abstract

In this paper, the structure and behavior of pseudo-shock waves in the underexpanded supersonic jet issuing from the asymmetric nozzle with the oblique outlet were studied mainly by the flow visualization. The flow visualization of the mean flow with time was conducted by the shadowgraph method. Moreover, the mean total pressure and mean static pressure were measured. As a result, it was found that the asymmetric nozzle deflected the flow. And the effect of the nozzle with oblique outlet on the structure of pseudo-shock waves was clarified.
