Abstract

The paper describes microcontroller simulator with flexible definition of system configuration and simulation strategies. An important feature of the simulator is the possibility of defining complex network of devices co-operating with the microcontroller chip. These devices can be defined at various abstraction levels as program objects. Test stimuli and system behaviour probing are also programmed in a friendly way. The simulator is supported with various statistical modules, which can characterise operational profile of the application, resource usage etc. Capabilities of the simulator are illustrated for car immobilizer.
