Abstract

Mondor\'s disease is a rare entity characterized by thrombophlebitis of the subcutaneous veins of the anterolateral thoraco-abdominal wall, the etiology of which remains obscure. Trauma and surgical biopsies head the top of the list of known cases, it may also be associated with breast cancer, bandaging, tight clothes, infections and inravenous drug abuse. Fewer than 400 cases of this disease have been reported in the world literature and only in one case thrombophilia was found to be associated with this condition.
