Abstract

Malignant hyperthermia (MH) has been associated with several neuromuscular diseases, including central core disease and the King-Denborough syndrome. Mutations in the skeletal muscle calcium release channel ryanodine receptor (RYR1) gene cause central core disease and MH. The genetic basis of the KDS is unknown.
