Abstract

The forty-first consultative meeting of the contracting parties to the 1972 Convention on the Prevention of Marine Pollution by Dumping of Wastes and Other Matter (London Convention), as amended, and the fourteenth meeting of the contracting parties to the 1996 Protocol to the 1972 Convention on the Prevention of, of Marine Pollution by Dumping of Wastes and Other Matter (London Protocol) took place on 7–11 October at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Headquarters in London. The meetings were an opportunity to review progress on the implementation of the strategic plan adopted in 2016 and to continue work relating to a number of ongoing items on the agenda of the governing bodies of the two treaties.
