Abstract
Cath Maige Tuired / Battle of Mag Tuired is an Irish text recounting a conflict between two ancient occupants of Ireland: the Tuatha Dé Danann and the Fomoire. The narrative as we have it today was composed in the Middle Irish period but draws on Old Irish material, possibly from the ninth century. It is generally regarded as the most important text of the Irish Mythological Cycle.
