Abstract

Nucleosides modified at C-5 of the pyrimidine base have become important components of synthetic oligonucleotide probes. An account of how these compounds can be synthesized by way of palladium-mediated reactions is described. 1. Introduction 2. Palladium-Mediated Reactions of Alkenes with Mercurionucleosides 3.
