Abstract
It was clarified that the notch effect on the fatigue strength characteristics of the GFRP used for blade material of a small wind turbine. To elucidate the fatigue strength characteristics at rotating bending fatigue test, observation of the fracture surface of the test piece was conducted. Furthermore it can track the behavior of crack growth, and the mechanism of fatigue properties of GFRP was considered. A new proposal of design guidelines for small wind turbines will be established.
