Abstract

Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension is a rare but significant complication of an acute pulmonary embolism that can be treated with pulmonary endarterectomy. The goal of this research is to determine how early (within 24 hours of admission) versus late (after 24 hours of admission) intervention influences in-hospital outcomes in patients who have been diagnosed with pulmonary embolism.
