Abstract
At its Spring Meeting on May 27, the AGU Council approved the elimination of Bylaw 7, which reads “7. Upon the specific request of married couples where both are members of the Union, one partner may enjoy the privileges of membership at reduced rates to be established by the Council, except that all Union mailings and publications sent to the general membership shall be withheld. The other partner pays full dues and receives all Union mailings and publications sent to the general membership. Both partners are eligible to subscribe to Union journals and purchase Union publications at member rates.”
