Biblical theology - dogmatic theology The purpose of this article is to make a contribution to the discussion between systematic theology and biblical theology from the point of view of what systematic theology can expect of the latter. The following notions are identified: Dogmatic tendencies should not play a part in the presentation of a biblical theology. Biblical theology should accept a responsibility only to the biblical material which is employed; form a bridge between the exegesis and the exegetical results on the one hand and the systematic theology on the other hand; keep its purpose aligned to dogmatic theology and help to construct methods as how to incorporate the diversities and unity in the biblical witness.

Introduction

Biblical theology - dogmatic theology The purpose of this article is to make a contribution to the discussion between systematic theology and biblical theology from the point of view of what systematic theology can expect of the latter.
