Abstract

Human-centered development of information systems is one of the highly actual challenges nowadays. This concept includes many different meanings and consequences. In our opinion, one of the most important aspects of this challenge is the essential role of humans in the business system that the developed information system should support. According to the principles of the Enterprise Architecture, the information system is always an infrastructure of the business system. Therefore, its features should be primarily derived from the essential features of the business system. In the paper, we argue for such development of information system, which fully respects the principles of process-driven management as we believe that this way built digital enterprise architecture is naturally human-centered. We explain the nature of process-driven management, the role of information technology and systems in this approach, and their relationships with so-called digital transformation and enterprise architecture. In this context, we then discuss the essential human role in the development of the information system and other important related topics.
