Abstract
This study sets out to investigate the impacts of information technology (IT) infrastructure on “business process reengineering” (BPR) within the media industry. The survey results indicate that dynamic environments (DEs) significantly impact IT adoption and dynamic capabilities (DCs). The results also demonstrate that BPR is positively and directly influenced by the IT adoption and DCs, and indirectly by DEs. This study contributes media literature in terms of providing empirical evidence and identifying various dimensions of BPR. It also provides some managerial insights.
