Abstract

Considering the whole system of the bus transit system since past couple of decades the statistics coin that there has not been any significant improvement in the overall performance of the system until there came the era of IoT, Cloud, and SMAC etc. The concept of automation and digitization has attracted various fields of transportation round the globe. Hence in recent few years the Bus Transportation System is opting for renewing the whole systems. In this paper, presented is a BUS RAPID TRANSIT PASSENGER SUPPORT SYSTEM (BRTPSS). To deal with different types of subjects in mobile systems and the information flows we propose a set of services. Based on easy ways to use a device application to get the real time status of the whole scenario, our solution enables very simple and efficient time utilizing system. The work mentioned in this paper is an integrated approach of two domains i.e. IoT-Cloud, where the cloud is used for various purposes like storage, processing, services, etc. whereas the IoT part is consisting of the access control. The whole package is a whole of multiple modules which will work synchronously to give the best and desired output. We focus our study on location tracking, application efficiency and occupancy status module.
