Journal Article Bungee Jumping Get access D. A. Lawson D. A. Lawson Duncan Lawson gained his BA and DPhil degrees from Oxford University. After working for British Gas Research pic for three years in 1987 he was appointed Senior Lecturer in Mathematics at what was then Coventry Polytechnic. He is now Head of the BP Mathematics Centre at Coventry University. Despite the topic ofthis paper he intends to keep his feet firmly on the ground.
