Abstract

Case Report A previously healthy 11-year-old Haitian male presented with four days of tactile fevers, three days of dry cough, fatigue, and anorexia, and two days of pharyngitis and rash. Multiple painful, pruritic blisters appeared first on the lips and mouth and progressed down his arms and legs. He was prescribed azithromycin on day one of illness and was also taking ibuprofen. Initial examination was significant for temperature of 101.5° F, blood pressure of 127/77 mmHg and heart rate of 140 beats per minute.
