BULLETIN CRITIQUE. The Loochooan language. Mr. Basil Hall Chamberlain visited the Loochoo Islands in 1893, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Captain Basil Hall, whose voyages, written in the early years of the century , contain an interesting description of these islands. Mr. Chamberlain has given some of the results of his researches to the Journal of the Royal Geo- graphical Society of London, but he has reserved for separate public- ation by the Asiatic Society of Ja- pan a Grammar, Vocabulary and Conversation BookoftheLoochooan language which promises to be of great interest to philologists.
