Abstract

This paper reports the results of investigations of an adsorption cassette consisting of a compact capacious element with a developed adsorption layer in the form of a packet of eight layers of carbon cloth of the trademark KUT-M pressed between box-shaped perforated aluminum substrates. The evacuation parameters of the cassette are determined. It is found that the operating absorption capacity is 1.7–2 times higher than the adsorption capacity of the cassette determined under isothermal conditions. It is experimentally demonstrated that the adsorbent in the cassette is effectively protected by a cylindrical shield with one-way entry which cools the elements and a face disk-like shield.
