Abstract

An approach to building a multichannel pattern-recognition system by sensing systems is proposed. A list of problems solved by the sensing systems in the construction of object-recognition systems is specified. The problem of image preprocessing is formulated in the form of an ill-posed problem. The value of the fractal dimension D (the fractal signature) of images of contours of objects is used to create an additional characteristic. The methods for solving the problems of building modern object-recognition systems are evaluated.
