Abstract
We give a relationship for determining the additional angle of lay for the filament ensuring the necessary gap between adjacent turns of the wound layer that are located in the same cylindrical cross section. This gap is needed for free flow of the finishing fluid or steam through the package. The calculation results can be used to design laying mechanisms with a spreading device.
