Abstract
The article describes the processes of a business project that was carried out in 2010. It is the personal leadership journey of a nurse managing a change process for an organisation and the principles in the article are applicable to any health and social care sector organisations. It uses the characteristics from Factor 8 Diverse Leaders and demonstrates how a project such as this can address the challenges, be aligned to the organisation's strategic vision and produce outcomes. The report will illustrate the inter-relatedness of the characteristics of good leadership. It concludes with a series of questions and an example to help those who may be interested in starting a project that could challenge and develop their capacity as leaders.
