Abstract

The transpiration method has been used to measure temperature dependence of vapor pressures for the 1-(n-alkyl)-2-methylimidazoles with the linear alkyl chain C2–C10. The molar enthalpies of vaporization at 298.15 K of this homologues series were correlated with the number of carbon atoms in the alkyl chain, as well as with the Kovat's indices on the low-polar gas chromatography (GC) columns. In both cases linear correlations have been found.
