Abstract

The current study aims to: Constructing a self-perception contrast scale for students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Salah Al-Din University - Erbil. In order to achieve this goal, the research sample consisting of (309) students from the (first, second and fourth) stages was selected to represent the sample of building the self-perception contradiction scale, and to build the self-perception contradiction scale according to the theory of Higgins (1987), whose number of paragraphs consisted of (46 ) A paragraph for each dimension divided by from the point of view of the individual himself, and from the point of view of others, and the researchers used the method of virtual validity and indicators of constructive validity to extract the validity of the scale, and they also used the method of re-testing and Cronbach's alpha coefficient to extract the stability of the scale. The study reached the following results: 1- A measure was built through which the level of self-contradictory self-perception can be identified among students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Salahaddin University - Erbil.
