Abstract
To lower costs, protect the environment, raise capital, deliver cross-platform digital content, and anticipate emerging environmental regulations, Vegas PBS in Las Vegas designed a new broadcast facility that incorporates low energy consuming lighting and electronics, clean indoor air products, recycled and agriculturally-based furnishings, day lighting, solar and geothermal power, water conservation, and end-of-life electronic waste disposal strategies. These strategies have dramatically lowered operating costs, reduced absenteeism, and generated considerable community news coverage.
