Abstract
John Gaffin graduated from Northern Kentucky University with his undergraduate degree on a Friday night. Sunday afternoon, he started the police academy at the institution. Gaffin, Chief of Police at NKU, has been with the department for the last 14 years. Gaffin said the move ended up being prescient, as shortly after he graduated, the 2008 recession hit and many of his friends ended up unemployed.
