Abstract
The ideas of 18th century French Literature influenced Swedish poetry. The 19th century was the golden age with poets such Tegner, Geijer, Atterbom for Swedish poetry, which focused on lyric poems. This article explores the influence of Western poetry and American poetry on Swedish poetry today.
