Abstract

Performance of Budhe’ Centil dance is a form of the appropriate dance performance of the Z generation, became interesting to research, because it was taking with local genius ideas and concepts, becoming unique through the cross gender and gender stereotype phenomena on the dancer. Research objectives described and analyzed the phenomenon of cross gender dancing in z generation, are things affecting the performance process. The research method used is qualitative research methods with both phenomena and choreography approaches. Data collection techniques using observation, interview, and documentation methods. The validity technique of data through data triangulation. Data analysis techniques start with data reduction, data presentation, and deduction drawing. Research has found a dance choreography that begins through a cognitive through, exploration, improvisation. A breakthrough form performance with a gender theme, the choreographic shape developed the traditional and modern motion, displayed on floor patterns as well as in order to add a few songs and music to the tastes of the kinks, dressing and hairdo with the traditional Javanese women’s kebaya style and skirts pick up batik motifs, with a konde hairdo.
