Fryer has been leaching at New York University since 1924, except for several years during the war when he was chief of the Personnel Research Branch, Civilian Personnel Division in the office of the Secretary of War, and later chief of the Classification Research Unit in the Adjutant General's Office. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Richardson, Bellows, Henry & Company, New York City, a representative on the Council of the American Psychological Association, and a past president of the American Association for Applied Psychology. He received his Ph.D. from Clark University. Robert J. Wherry is professor of psychology at the Ohio Slate University and vice-president of Richardson, Bellows, Henry and Company. During the war he was chief of the statistical analysis section of the Personnel Research Branch, Office of the Secretary of War, and chief of the research and analysis subsection, Personnel Research Section, Adjutant General's Office. He received his Ph.D. from Ohio State University.
