Abstract

A technique for bubble materials characterization is described which utilizes spatial filtering. This method of characterization is amenable to automation and the resolution actually improves as the bubble diameter is decreased from 4μm to 1μm. The technique of spatial filtering is then applied to the problem of magnetic defect detection to produce instant defect maps of large areas.
