Abstract

In this study, it was aimed to reveal differences in preference levels and perceptions of different plant species within the Kanuni Campus of Trabzon Karadeniz Technical University compared to changes in autumn colors. 12 plant species showing autumn coloration were photographed on the campus. These photographs were evaluated on 320 campus users (expert, student, other) by a survey with visual content. Semantic differentiation scale was used to determine user preferences. As a result of the statistics on answers, it is revealed that the selected alternatives show significant differences. Adjectives that define the most-least preferences and each photograph are selected from the options. As a result of the study, it was determined that plants with different colors found on the KTU Kanuni Campus affected the preference of the users positively. Depending on the color differences, plants were perceived differently by users.
