Abstract
With reference to critical comments in a paper on the Devonian brachiopod genus Uncites by U. Jux and F. Strauch (for reference, see this Bibliography Vol. 32, No. 1, 15 E68-00386), it is stated that although the presence or absence of pouches has now been proved not to be diagnostic of sexual dimorphism, the pouches are nevertheless rightfully interpreted as brood pouches.
