Abstract

A novel and broadband non-directional coupler operating at 300–3200 MHz band is presented in this paper. The coupler was designed using extensive electromagnetic simulations and built on FR4 substrate using microstrip technology. The designed coupler is a three-port device; input, output, and coupled ports. It provides an almost flat coupled power at the coupled port throughout the UHF band. Measurements are provided in comparison with simulated S-parameters. Measured and simulated values are in very good agreement.
