Abstract

In this communication, a multi-resonant wideband antenna with low loss feed structure is proposed for millimeter wave (mmW) applications. The array element consists of two bending dipoles of different sizes connected in series, which can excite different resonant frequencies to achieve broadband. A parasitic deflector is added at the front of the antenna to compensate the gain of the antenna at high frequencies. And can further improve the antenna bandwidth. As a demonstration, a one-quarter SIW power divider was designed to feed it, and the final antenna array achieved a bandwidth of 22.9-42.56 GHz. Reach 60% bandwidth, covering the full band of 5G millimeter wave. The antenna is an important candidate for millimeter wave applications because of its advantages of wide band, high gain and low profile.
