Abstract

Design method of broadband FERMI antenna having high gain, low side lobe level and almost the same E-plane and H-plane patterns is presented. Experimental results of passive millimeter-wave imaging through fire using FERMI antenna is also described. A method of broadband active imaging using squared detector is proposed, in which autocorrelation pulse response is employed to realize a low cost imaging system. Finally, experimental results of the active imaging are presented. (6 pages)
