Abstract

We present a novel hollow-core anti-resonant optical fiber (ARF) with nested elliptical and nested circular air holes, where these cladding air holes form into the elliptical core. The simulation results show the fiber has low loss, high birefringence, broadband, and bend-resistance properties by optimizing its structure parameters. Besides, it also exhibits that the fundamental mode (FM) losses of x-polarization and y-polarization, high birefringence, and broad transmission band are 0.03 dB/m, 0.043 dB/m, 1.33 × 10−4, 460 nm, respectively.
