Abstract

In this paper, microstrip line with metamaterial fractal Cantor distributing substrates is investigated. Transmission matrix method is used to calculating the transmittance and reflectance. Comparing with conventional Cantor distributing substrates, microstrip line with metamaterial fractal Cantor distribution shows broad stopband and little resonance peaks inside bandgap. The resonances in somewhere out of bandgap split and form more peaks with increasing of the number of generation. These peaks are more flat. According to these properties, a novel broad stopband bandpass filter is proposed.
