Abstract

A new infrared absorption feature in the low-temperature spectrum of solid ${\mathrm{D}}_{2}$ and ${\mathrm{H}}_{2}$ containing small amounts of tritium has been observed. The absorption can be interpreted as being due to electrons in bubblelike structures with diameters of approximately 9 \AA{}.
