Abstract

No problem can be considered in isolation. Clearly, this is plain common sense. But how true is it of your own practice? In order to reflect the growing complexity of wound-care practice and the need for multidisciplinary, holistic care, the Journal of Wound Care is publishing two or more articles on one theme in each issue. The articles will explore a subject — in this case, lower-extremity wounds — from a number of different angles. The discussion will be informed, in-depth and wide-ranging — the only way of doing justice to the reality of modern wound-care practice. We hope this will not only reflect the way you approach challenges in your day-to-day work, but will also provide inspiration for the future.
