Abstract
The British Veterinary Zoological Society (BVZS) held a 3-day conference in October. A wide variety of topics were covered, with sessions on avian influenza; mycobacteriosis; exotic pet welfare; wildlife health, including surveillance, rehabilitation and other topics; large zoo mammals, small zoo mammals, zoo birds; zoo amphibians and reptiles; exotic pet medicine, diagnostics, surgery and welfare; and zoo, wildlife and exotic pet nursing; plus a student careers session.
