Abstract

This year the Royal Society of London's scientific journals are undergoing their first major reorganization in many years, the intention being to interest a broader international audience and to attract a wider range of prospective authors. The changes include new procedures for submitting papers to the physical and mathematical sciences journal Proceedings of the Royal Society of London, Series A . Previously, a researcher had to contact a fellow or foreign member of the Royal Society and persuade him or her to communicate the paper to a journal. Clearly, for authors residing outside the U.K., that was not always an easy or convenient thing to do, says Michael E.
