Abstract

In this paper we briefly review our recent work on Brillouin scattering from amorphous ferromagnetic metals, particularly our observation of discrete standing spin waves in amorphous Fe80B20. We also present new data on these spin-wave modes, consider the effects of anisotropy on our theoretical fits and compare the results with microwave ferromagnetic resonance measurements.
