Abstract

Dr. Dwyer is Assistant Professor of Neurology at Boston University (BU) School of Medicine. She received her BS from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Brain and Cognitive Sciences, and her MD from the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University. She did her internship in Internal Medicine, as well as her residency in Neurology, at BU. This was followed by a clinical and research fellowship in Brain Injury Medicine and Neurorehabilitation sponsored by the BU School of Medicine and the Boston Veterans Affairs Healthcare System. She joined BU's faculty in 2017, where she has served admirably. She is currently Director of the Vascular Injury/Stroke Program at Encompass Health Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital, where she also serves on the Medical Executive Committee. She serves on numerous American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM) committees, including the Disorders of Consciousness Working Group, the Physicians and Clinicians Working Group, and the Brain Injury Interdisciplinary Special Interest Group. She is a revered clinician and teacher, and a rising star in the field of Brain Injury Medicine.
