Abstract

This work studies the dynamics of an extended nonlinear (2+1)-dimensional evolution Schrödinger equation having third-order nonlinearity and dispersion. We employ distinct efficient schemes to furnish analytical bright and dark soliton modulated solutions that can describe the propagation of ultra-short pulses in nonlinear dispersive mediums. We investigate the model parameters that admit appropriate constraint conditions on a variety of solutions. Further, we obtain other solitonic solutions such as exponential solutions, singular, periodic, and rational solutions. The work shows the relevant contribution of third-order dispersion and nonlinearity to the derived solutions of the examined Schrödinger system.
