Abstract

In the semiclassical limit, we investigate the intrinsic localized spin-wave modes (ILSM) in an antiferromagnetic spin system with bilinear, biquadratic and D-M interactions. Derivation of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation for the coherent-state amplitude involves the introduction of the multiple scale approximation paired with a quasi discreteness approximation. Consequently, we discover that the oscillatory frequency of the Bright–Dark stationary type ILSM’s can appear below the linear spin wave spectrum and the Bright–Dark type kink lies below the upper of the linear spin-wave spectrum. The effect of the interaction parameters in the system is also examined.
